In the quiet corridor outside the emergency room, a young medical intern loses his balance and is caught by a calm, composed attending physician. Medical charts hang suspended in midair as the distance between them closes, near enough to hear each other breathe. When their eyes meet, it becomes clear that the heart monitor is not the only thing losing control.
